BNY Investments appoints head of Japan

Tokyo-based Masaaki Sakakibara has joined BNY Investments from Mercer Japan.

BNY Investments, one of the world's largest asset managers and part of recently rebranded BNY, has appointed Masaaki Sakakibara as head of Japan.

A spokesperson from BNY told FinanceAsia that Sakakibara pictured started the role at the beginning of this week on Monday, September 9 and is based in Tokyo. He replaces Katsutoshi Endo, who retired in June, a spokeperson told siste title AsianInvestor
