BNY Investments, one of the world's largest asset managers and part of recently rebranded BNY, has appointed Masaaki Sakakibara as head of Japan.
A spokesperson from BNY told FinanceAsia that Sakakibara pictured started the role at the beginning of this week on Monday, September 9 and is based in Tokyo. He replaces Katsutoshi Endo, who retired in June, a spokeperson told siste title AsianInvestor.
Sakakibara has joined BNY Investments from Mercer Japan, where he was wealth business country leader and chief executive officer CEO of Mercer Investments Japan.
