London-headquartered international law firm Charles Russell Speechlys has appointed Gaven Cheong as partner within the funds team in Hong Kong.
Cheong pictured joins the firm from Tiang Partners, where he served as head of investment funds for three years from 2021 and helped establish its investment funds practice, according to a media release.
Cheong has almost 20 years of fund formation and Hong Kong regulatory experience. He will help cover the establishment and structuring of collective investment schemes, including hedge funds, real estate funds, private equity arrangements, hybrid funds and other private investment structures, and regulatory advice in relation to general investment management activity.
