Sidley Austin appoints infrastructure M&A partner in Singapore

The hire of Alun Evans from A&O Sherman will strengthen advising capabilities targeting private funds’ local market transactions.

US-headquartered law firm Sidley Austin has appointed Alun Evans as a partner in Singapore, to focus on infrastructure, as well as mergers and acquisitions MA deals. 

Evans pictured, who started this month, has joined from AO Shearman, where he served as a partner and co-head of Philippines Foreign Desk, and also helped lead their infrastructure MA practice across Asia Pacific Apac.

At Sidley Austin, he has been tasked with advising a range of private companies, infrastructure funds and sponsors, investing in infrastructure-focussed businesses such as data centres, toll roads and energy businesses, a May 5 media release explained.
