K. Balasubramanian, Asia South head of corporate banking, has been appointed India subcontinent sub-cluster & banking head and India Citi country officer & banking head designate, to replace Khullar's current role.

Sophea Seng joins as managing director and head of energy & utilities, as Vid Pulavarti joins as CIO of Clifford Capital Asset Management.

The bank has made several appointments across markets' sales, asset-backed securitisation & financing, G10 rates trading and corporate access.

Amid wider changes, Roberto Hoornweg, global head, financial markets, and Sunil Kaushal, regional CEO, Africa & Middle East, are to become co-heads of Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), with Simon Cooper set to leave.
